Logline: 1 Disease, 1 Monster, 1 Team, 1 Country.
Narrative/Storyline: A scientist who was working on an experiment to cure a disease which is killing a lot of people. But the experiment it self became a disease which turned that scientist into a huge, gigantic monster, 100 times the size of a human. There is a team of five brave, young people who are highly skilled and trained. The monster is so powerful and strong that it could destroy the whole United States of America. The team of five people are the only people that can stop the monster from doing that. Therefore, engineers created 5 different robots specific for each person in the team with the same power as the monster in order to defeat it. At the end there is a huge battle.
One of the amazing movie called Pacific Rim has a very similar concept to my film idea. in Pacific Rim, Monsters or aliens came from beneath the sea bed and start destroying the city. Few people make a huge robot to fight the aliens. In the robot there are two pilots whose brains are synchronised so it easier from them to control the robot. My film idea and the movie Pacific Rim are nearly similar. This also fits into a science fiction genre, including alien invasion, futuristic technology, Robot and AI.
The location of my film idea will be in America in 2020, so it will have a futuristic touch to it. It will have futuristic cars, buildings to make it look like it is set in the 2020. This will also make it look like a science fiction movie.
There isn't one hero/heroine in my film idea, there are 3 hero's and 2 heroine which are the team of five people who are highly skilled and trained. They would be targeted to a younger target audience as they are young characters themselves. All the hero/heroine go through a lot of difficulties when fighting against the monsters. Other characters that will be in the film are: the General who leads and helps this five people, and few other people who work in their secret office to help those five people to defeat the monster.
This movie can be featured in 3D and there will be use heavy CGI as there are going to be monsters and robot shown in the movie and we would need to use heavy CGI for all that. There will also be extreme sound FX to create tension for the target audience when watching the movie.
There will lots of film posters, trailers for the target audience which is a family will be able to see for marketing my movie and for our target audience to know about this movie.

1) The movie Independence day (1996) fits into the sub genres of : alien invasion, thriller, technology and AI, also action as there were many plane and spaceship chases.
2) Independence day fits into all the above sub genres because there is a scene where the whole alien spaceship is into the earth's atmosphere, which shows alien invasion. There are also scenes which shows explosions of the famous buildings and monuments of New York city which shows thriller. There are scenes where they have shown a lot of future technology to defend them self from the aliens which show technology and AI. There are scenes at the end of the movie with plane and spaceship chases which also shows a bit of action.
3) The narrative clearly shows that Independence day fits into Science fiction genre because the whole movie is about alien invasion and how the mankind try to save the world from getting destroyed. The movie has scenes where they us a lot of futuristic technology and all of this tells us that this a science fiction movie.
4) The main character is Captain Steven played by Will Smith and David played by Jeff Goldblum, both these are the main characters in the movie. One is physically intelligent and the other was mentally intelligent and both of them work together at the end to deliver the virus into the mother spaceship so the shield on the spaceships on the earth will be disabled and the air-force would be able to destroy all the spaceship, also destroying the mother ship using nuclear weapon. Both the characters did this mission in a very funny way which makes the target audience laugh along with giving tension while there is action.
5) The costumes of the pilots and the use of the small spaceships and the props show that the movie Independence day is a science fiction movie.

This is the trailer of the Independence day movie and it seems very appealing to the target audience because at the start it looked like a normal day as Will Smith wakes up and goes out side to get the newspaper but then he recognises that neighbours were moving out and then looks straight as sees a gigantic spaceship, which changes the mood of the target audience into tension. The text that was used was very attractive and makes the target audience want to go and watch the movie right away. The president's speech stands out really well as the you could only here the audio but see the different stuff going on the screen.
3) The main marketing campaign used for this film was its film poster as that is the first thing that comes up in Google as we search the movie Independence day. There are also two minute trailers on youtube.

1) IMDB rates the movie Independence day 6.9 out of 10 and in my opinion I think that this movie deserves this ratings.
2) The users of IMDB have rated this average of 6.9 out of 10 and it also shows that both male and female like this movie as both of these genders have rated this movie 7.2 out of 10 and it is also the highest ratings.

1)The specific aspect that the audience will enjoy about the movie Independence day is the concept and story of the movie. The way the director made this film a bit funny and had action in it makes the audience really enjoy the movie.
2) The first and the main scene was when the spaceship enters the world's atmosphere and the way the whole city goes dark which creates tension for the audience and that was on of the most thrilling scene in the whole movie. The second scene was when the buildings and the famous monuments of New York city was being destroyed by the spaceship and the way all the people in their cars or walking on the streets ran away as quickly as possible and that was one of the most thrilling scenes in the whole movie as well. The last ending scene where the plane fly right into the centre of the spaceship and destroys the whole spaceship, while the two main characters were escaping the mother spaceship from the space. This was and was meant to be the most thrilling scene out of the whole movie.
3) The role of Will Smith will be aimed at audience of male aged from 15-25 as he is been shown a brave young person who has a wife and a small son helps defend the earth from the alien invasion and also destroys them at the end. X -Man days of future past
Language: The title and the font of the title shows that this film is Sci-Fi. The title "X-Man days of future past" suggest that this movie is futuristic. The font style of the title looks very futuristic, this shows that this is a Sci-Fi as it has got a metallic font style, as in the future there will new technology. The release date is in Summer and normally all the action and super blockbuster films are released. Audience: In my opinion I think that the target audience for the movie "X-Man days of future past" would be people aged from 12-13 to 35-45. I would think that this movie is for 70% male and 30% female because there is more of action in this film which male would love more than female.The main reason why this movie would be aimed at male because the main hero is male and normally females are not for action film. I think this movie will be aimed for greater number of people aged between 12/13 - 25 as there is more action and they have the use of new technology and the movie looks more futuristic. Representation: The film poster of the movie "X-Man days of future past" shows that the film is futuristic. Firstly you see an image of a man who is in a sitting posture in the air but nothing beneath him which shows improved technology which will happen after 50 years, so this shows that its futuristic based film. Secondly in the background you could see few men flying across the sky with a highly modified suit which can make them fly, this also makes it look futuristic. Lastly, you could see a spaceship flying across which shows that there is new transportation as there is new is technology and all of this shows that this is a futuristic based film which concludes that this movie is a SCIENCE FICTION MOVIE!

The sub-genre that the movie Predators fit into is aliens, horror and adventure film because the movie shows that few people have landed onto another planet and they are being hunted by aliens as they are called predators.
The mercenary Royce,the military Isabelle, the Russian soldier Nikolai, the San Quentin criminal Stans, the Sierra Leone militia Mombasa, the drug lord Cuchillo, the Yakuza Hanzo, and the doctor Edwin were awaken in free fall but they succeed to open their parachutes landing in a jungle. Soon they discovered that they were on another planet and they are preys of the aliens in a deadly hunting game, and they need to join forces to destroy their predators and survive.
The setting of Predators was linked to the science-fiction genre as they characters in the movie landed on another where aliens were. The way the movie was directed showed that it was horror because the aliens were to pop out from anywhere which scared the audience. Lastly the setting of the movie was on another planet which made Predators an adventure film.
Characters in Predators was linked to the science-fiction genre because all of the characters that landed on another planet were the best worriers and they had the strength to destroy the aliens as they were their predators.
The theme was alien invasion as the worriers were getting hunted by the aliens on their planets as preys. This movie was set in another planet which shows that this movie is adventure film.
